Fees
Solstice Psychology Melbourne is a fee-for-service practice. Bulk billing is not available.
You may be eligible to claim rebates through Medicare (with a referral and Mental Health Care Plan) or via your private health insurance, depending on your cover.
Session Fees
$250 for a 50-minute session during business hours
$270 for sessions outside of business hours
Referrals and Rebates
Medicare Referrals
To claim a Medicare rebate, you’ll need:
A referral letter from your GP
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
When booking in to see your GP, let them know you are seeking a Mental Health Care Plan, as this often requires a longer appointment.
If you do not wish to claim a Medicare rebate, a referral is not required.
Medicare Rebates
As of July 2025, clients with a valid referral and MHCP may be eligible for rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
The current rebate for sessions with a Clinical Psychologist is $145.25, applicable to both in-person and Telehealth sessions.
The out-of-pocket cost is therefore:
$104.75 for business hours
$124.75 for after-hours sessions
Private Health Insurance
You may be eligible for rebates through your private health insurance, depending on your policy. Please contact your provider directly to check your eligibility.
Solstice Psychology does not process private health claims on your behalf, but will provide a receipt and invoice for you to submit to your fund.
*Please note: clients cannot claim both Medicare and private health rebates for the same session.
Solstice Psychology offers thoughtful, evidence-based therapy to support adults through life’s challenges and turning points - with compassion, curiosity and insight.
